Why hermit / eremite?
Sad story actually.
I'm not a big fan of socializing. Every time I face a social event - be it proactive or passive - I get into a fight or flight state and feel awkward and nervous when something goes wrong - however trivial it may be. On the one hand, it has made my school life really difficult; on the other, it brought me a lot of time available for seclusion. I could be in a tranquil place and do nothing but think - which I found considerably enjoyable to me.
I will not say I'm an orthodox hermit - but with less socializing, maybe I would qualify for being one.
As for eremite.org? It happened to be available and I happened to have a few bucks.
